CHOCTAW, Miss. (Aug. 28, 2006) Dancing Rabbit Golf Club
at Pearl River Resort continued its dominant ways on the golf scene with its
recent rating in Golf Magazines Top 100 Courses You Can
Play.
Golf Magazines announcement of their biennial list of the best public courses in the United States showed the clubs Azaleas course climb to the 32nd spot.
We are honored to once again be listed among this countrys top golf courses, said Dancing Rabbits director of golf Mark Powell. Our continued climb up the list is a testament to the courses quality and the dedication of Dancing Rabbits associates.
As Dancing Rabbits fifth consecutive listing on this coveted course compilation, the club continues to move up in the rankings. A Tom Fazio/Jerry Pate co-design, Dancing Rabbit was initially listed among the nations elite facilities at #63 in Golf Magazines 1998 edition, only one year after its opening. In 2000, the club made one of the biggest jumps in the history of the rankings by leaping twenty-six places to claim the 37th position. In 2004 the course reached the 34th spot on the list.
Dancing Rabbit continuously rates as one of the top golf courses in the country and it is a tribute to the Mississippi Band of Choctaw Indians commitment to offering a world-class resort in the southeast, explained Pearl River Resort President Chuck Miller.
This latest award continues to establish Dancing Rabbit as one of the most celebrated golf facilities in not only the state of Mississippi, but also a region including Tennessee, Arkansas, Louisiana and Alabama.
