Pearl River Resort takes double honors in
Mississippi Magazine’s Best of 2006
CHOCTAW, Miss. (July 11, 2006) – Pearl River Resort’s Geyser Falls Water Theme Park and Dancing Rabbit Golf Club each were named as two of the state’s most popular destinations in Mississippi Magazine’s second annual “Best of Mississippi” survey.
The results published in the July/August edition named Geyser Falls the Best Attraction for Kids and Dancing Rabbit the Best Golf Course.
“When we first asked readers in our March/April issue to tell us about their favorite places to eat, shop, and have fun from down south to the Delta, we had no idea just how many survey submissions we would receive,” said Kelli Bozeman, editor. “In all, we counted more than 1,000 write-in votes. Clearly, Mississippians have strong opinions about the businesses and attractions in their hometowns, as well as those they’ve visited across the state.”
Pearl River Resort president, Chuck Miller explained what an honor it is to be named to receive this distinction.
“The Mississippi Band of Choctaw Indians has done an exceptional job assembling an exciting mix of amenities at Pearl River Resort,” Miller said. “Being recognized by our guests and the readers of Mississippi Magazine is an honor and a true testament to the popularity of these destinations.”
The 76 “Best of Mississippi” categories are divided into three main topics—Dining Out, Seeking Out, and Getting Out—and include everything from hamburger to homegrown band and from music store to museum.
